Weekly Round-Up

Barely a month into the job, and our new Prime Minister has already led our economy into crisis.

Today’s U-turn has come all too late for people who are seeing their mortgages go up by as much as £500 a month.

For young people who have worked hard to save a deposit being stripped of their dream of owning their own home.

For families who are once again faced with the choice of heating their home or putting food on the table for their kids.

What we need is stability and security for the British people.

If this week showed us anything, it’s that the Tories are simply not up for the job and are in utter meltdown.

Only a Labour government will be able to deliver the fair, sustainable growth, and economic stability our country needs.

Liver Disease debate

Liver disease patients, like many others, face a glaring post code lottery when it comes to their outcomes.

So, what does the new Health Secretary do? Scrap the Health Inequalities White Paper.

It simply is not good enough.

Watch my contribution to this week’s important debate.

Cost-of-living support hub

The cost-of-living crisis is causing serious concern for families across Enfield North, with the situation set to get even worse as we head into winter.

To help constituents, I am compiling a hub for all the support being provided by local organisations which you can view here: https://bit.ly/CostOfLivingHubEN

If you know of any other support being offered, please do get in touch.

Chase Farm Hospital visit

I was delighted to visit the team at Chase Farm Hospital yesterday and have a tour around the facility.

It was a pleasure to see such a great community asset and thank the staff for all they do to support the people of Enfield North.

Silverways School opening

I had the honour of attending the official opening of Silverways School this morning, a new local school which supports young people with autism.

Too often, children with autism and other special educational needs are left behind in our education system, and schools like Silverways mean that doesn’t have to be the case.

I look forward to seeing Silverways go from strength to strength and continuing to serve our community well.
