Section 21 Evictions

At Business Questions, I raised the urgent matter of Section 21 or “no fault” evictions with the Leader of the House.

Enfield has the highest rate of Section 21 evictions of any London borough, and with the cost-of-living crisis surging, the effects of these evictions are only going to get worse.

We have had many a warm word from the government, but private tenants cannot afford any more ministerial can-kicking on this issue.

We need the government to bring forward plans, at pace, to ensure this shameful piece of legislation does not continue to blight the lives of people in Enfield North and across the UK.
