Enfield North MP launches petition to stop HGVs on Bullsmore Lane

Feryal Clark,  MP for Enfield North, has launched a petition to raise in Parliament the impact of Highways England’s proposed M25 Junction 25 Improvement Scheme on the health and safety of local residents in Enfield North.

Planned works to Junction 25 are due to begin in March 2021 but the Scheme poses many problems for the local community, including increased traffic flows through residential neighbourhoods.

Since 2015, there have been 13 accidents involving HGVs along the route - with two fatal accidents since 2001.

Feryal Clark MP said:

“Highways England have completely failed to take into account the valid and sincerely-held concerns of the local community about this scheme.  It poses a number of problems, including increased traffic flow in residential neighbourhoods and a potential further deterioration in air quality.

“I would urge all concerned constituents to sign my petition and help me make their views heard”.
