Weekly Round-Up
This week we were all devastated by the news from Nottingham, where three people have been killed and another three injured following a series of attacks early on Tuesday morning.
I want to send my heartfelt condolences to Grace Kumar’s family, friends and teammates at Southgate Hockey Club.
Grace Kumar's family have released a statement describing the 19-year-old as a "truly wonderful and beautiful young lady" who they were "so incredibly proud of". If you would like to read this, please click here.
Thank you to the police and the emergency services as they respond to this terrible incident.
I also want to pay tribute to the Grenfell community and the 72 victims who lost their lives. This week we were reminded that it was six years ago since the tragedy took place.
I stand with the Grenfell community as they pursue justice and campaign for change.
In Parliament, instead of the Government focusing on the issues that matter to the British people, like rising mortgage rates and inflation, they were focused on Boris Johnson’s Privilege Committee Report’s Findings. Frankly, Parliament is a better place without him in it, but this should not take away from the issues currently facing working people. It demonstrates just how out of touch this Conservative government is and why we need a general election as soon as possible.
This week I met with Enterprise Enfield to discuss the support they can provide to businesses on our high streets in Freezywater and Highway area, and other projects they currently run.
North London Hospice
This week, North London Hospice launched its appeal for financial help after energy costs have tripled in a year.
North London Hospice has always provided exceptional care for residents in Enfield and for communities across North London.
I do not want this to affect the incredible quality of care they provide daily, frequently in the most unimaginable of circumstances, which is why I am backing their Fund Our Nurses campaign to encourage the public to donate.

Rheumatology drop in
It was great to see Rheumatology UK in Parliament this week and speak to clinicians about their People We Need pledge.
